Jan. 29, 2022 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
On Saturday, January 29th, we will gather at the home of Lisa Youngflesh again, to make seed bombs with California Poppy seeds. This time, the clay will be very iron rich, which means that it will stain your hands and clothes. If you are concerned about this, wear an apron, or clothes you don't mind getting stained. Iron will wash off your hands eventually, but it is very hard to get out of clothing! Arrive at 10am and we plan to be finished by noon. Contact Lisa Youngflesh for address and directions if you need them. |

Today we will be hearing from the great people at Plant it Again. Here is their website: https://www.plantitagain.org/ Let's learn more about how this organization works hard to accomplish their mission: The mission of Plant It Again is to recycle drought tolerant plants back into our local communities while creating fulfilling careers for those with special needs. |

Jul. 23, 2022 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Due to heat I recommend 8:30 - 11 (and people can come later than 8:30 of course). People should bring:
- hats, garden gloves and water for yourself
- big buckets and big garden trash bags (so those with green bins can haul away all he weeds we clean out)
- garden shovels, hand trowels, and pruning shears
- brooms and dustpans
- we could use a wheelbarrow or sturdy wagon if anyone has one to bring that day
- If anyone has any large, sturdy, colorful pots they can donate can they please contact me directly? We would like to plant a few types of mint and they need to be in pots as they spread like crazy.
