Due to heat I recommend 8:30 - 11 (and people can come later than 8:30 of course). People should bring:
- hats, garden gloves and water for yourself
- big buckets and big garden trash bags (so those with green bins can haul away all he weeds we clean out)
- garden shovels, hand trowels, and pruning shears
- brooms and dustpans
- we could use a wheelbarrow or sturdy wagon if anyone has one to bring that day
- If anyone has any large, sturdy, colorful pots they can donate can they please contact me directly? We would like to plant a few types of mint and they need to be in pots as they spread like crazy.

Anvil of Hope is the non-profit brainchild of AleSmith Brewing Company’s owners, Peter and Vicky Zien, who are deeply committed to strengthening our community. The Anvil of Hope vision is to break the cycle of poverty to ensure that EVERYONE has the opportunity to thrive and prosper. They provide mentoring/training/youth enrichment programs to at-risk school children with the goal of keeping them safely engaged in school while developing a desire to pursue education/training beyond high school. They also provide a holistic approach to helping families succeed either through career counseling and job/skills training/parental skills training, or financial assistance, which provides a solid foundation for children. |

We will be getting the garden ready for the installation of DG (decomposed granite) on all the pathways:
trimming plants and planting the trimmings in other parts of the campus, and removing the top canopy from the two benches so we can separate and use the benches
Please bring hand pruners, trowels, garden gloves and (for those helping dismantle the canopy) work gloves, battery operated drills, screwdrivers, saws, and hammers.
